Encryption Auto Generate Keys

Reference:        Encryption Key Management Menu

This selection will generate new primary keys for all Beyond FTP servers.  The process begins by searching the address book for entries with a selected encryption algorithm.  For each such entry, a new key is created based on the primary key associated with THIS COMPUTER and the name of the Beyond FTP server.  This new key is stored as the primary key for that server.  Secondary keys are automatically created.

This capability is useful only on a key server, and allows you to change all keys by simply changing THIS COMPUTER.  The new values are then automatically distributed to the key clients as they contact the server.

While new address book entries will result in new key entries, keys without address book entries are not deleted.

Note:  FTP servers do not receive new keys in this process.  The assumption is that the Lock-Safe technology is used only when Beyond FTP connections are not permitted.  This precludes sharing keys through the client/server mechanism, and forces manual entry of all key phrases.
