Creating an SSL/SSH Client FTP Connection

Beyond FTP can connect securely to remote FTP servers that support SSL/TLS or SSH encryption.

1.     Either create a new address book entry or edit an existing entry corresponding to the server that will be called.

2.     Click the arrow on the Encryption Algorithm field and select Explicit SSL, Implicit SSL, or SSH/SFTP.

3.     Beyond FTP provides a default certificate for making SSL connections.  You may provide your own by selecting the Certificates button.

4.     Click the Advanced button and change the Port Specification as required.

5.     Click OK to save the Advanced information and OK to save the address book information.
