Certificates and Beyond FTP

Reference:        Overview of Beyond FTP

Beyond FTP supports both client and server certificates when operating secure FTP connections.  A client certificate would be provided for the address of a remote FTP server, and would be used for every connection from Beyond FTP to that server.  Beyond FTP includes a default client certificate.

A server certificate is used only by the FTP server included in the Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition versions of the Beyond FTP server product.  The FTP server supports SSL/TLS connections when a server certificate is provided.  Beyond FTP includes a default server certificate.

Customer certificates can be supplied in place of either default certificate.  They must include private keys.
