This field specifies the number of “switched” (as opposed to permanent) connections that Beyond FTP can use to call other clients and servers. Switched connections are used to make or receive calls from any remote Beyond FTP installation, and are maintained only as long as there is message traffic. All switched connections take place on the port specified by the service port entry. A like number of connections are allowed to standard FTP servers.
This value has meaning only for the Server version of Beyond FTP. The Client version is limited to just two connections.
