Reference: Advanced FTP Server Options
This option applies only to FTP connections, generally only those using certificates to provide data protection. In some cases, the certificate exchange is sufficient for the server to establish a session. Login information is superfluous and causes the connection to fail if it is sent. Checking this item prevents the FTP client interface from sending the user name and password.
