Reference: FTP Connection Options
This selection controls the type of connections you will be making to remote FTP sites. There are several choices dealing with the type of proxy server being used:
Internet Direct
Access the Internet directly without going through a proxy server. This is the default.
Internet Proxy User
The proxy server at the specified port is called, but the Proxy User and Proxy Password fields are ignored.
Internet Proxy Login
The proxy server at the specified port is called, and the Proxy User and Proxy Password fields are used to login to the proxy server.
Internet Proxy Open
The proxy server at the specified port is called, and the Proxy User and Proxy Password fields are ignored. The OPEN command is used to open the remote server address as specified in the address book.
Internet Proxy Site
The proxy server at the specified port is called, and the Proxy User and Proxy Password fields are used to login to the proxy server. The SITE command is then used to open the remote server address as specified in the address book.
Internet Proxy Template
The proxy server at the specified port is called, and the Proxy User and Proxy Password fields are used as templates to build the appropriate user and password messages. This is equivalent to the operation of prior versions of Beyond FTP.
