Beyond FTP Script Editor - Time_Range Command

Back to Feature TourBack to Feature Tour Back

This command may be used for two purposes. The first is to specify an exact starting time for the distribution when it is run. The same thing can be accomplished by using the scheduling dialog, but it has to be done each time the distribution is started. The Time_Range keyword imbeds the starting time in the script.
Second, this command allows you to specify a range of operating times for scripts that repeat more often than once a day. The script begins operation each day at the starting time and ceases operation once the next scheduled action passes the ending time. All retries for the script are extinguished at the end time.

The arrow keys roll the hours and minutes associated with each time. You can only set a time up to 24 hours in advance. If you need to specify the starting date, you must schedule the distribution.

Example:

:Time_range: 0000-0400
:Time_range:
06:00-20:30
:Time_range:
0700
