Beyond FTP Feature Tour

Beyond FTP Script Editor - Alert Command

Back to Feature TourBack to Feature Tour Back

The Alert command is used to send mail or a page. Either the Mail or Page directive is required. The file_name parameter is configured by choosing either Configure and Test Mail Alert or Configure and Test Page Alert on the appropriate command dialog. The second parameter specifying the text to insert in the message is processed only for a Mail alert. This parameter is inserted into either the subject or message body of the mail message using the %0 wildcard.

Including the Remote Server wildcard (%RN) as part of the parameter file for the Alert allows Beyond FTP to send different messages depending on which server is being managed.

Example:

:Alert: Mail = c:\bftp\GoodCopy.mpf, Transfers completed
