Trace Options

Trace options allow you to engage several different debug traces.  Each trace may be operated at different levels.  This can assist our technical support staff in understanding and correcting problems in real-time, since the traces can be engaged and disengaged without reloading services.  The trace files grow indefinitely, so it is best not to start any trace unless you are instructed to do so.  A check mark will appear next to the name of any trace that is currently running.

 

The trace files are found on the Beyond FTP path with the following names:

 

FTP Client	Trace_FC.txt
FTP Server	Trace_FS.txt
IPC	Trace_IPC.txt
Script	Trace_SU.txt
BFTP Server	Trace_SS.txt
