File Filter Criteria

                        Script Editor Program/View Menu

This dialog allows you to specify the filtering associated with the primary File Viewer Window, the File Search Results Window, and the Insert File Action Dialog.  The criteria applied to the search window are valid only while that window is displayed.  The criteria established when you select File Filter on the View menu are active for all displays until they are specifically disabled.  The current status of the File Filter appears on the status bar.  You can filter based on name, date, and size.  You select the appropriate tab and modify the criteria as necessary.

You may include sub-directories when establish criteria for the File Search Results Window.  This will cause the search to examine the entire directory structure below the selected path.

Note:  Engaging a filter disables the caching system.  Once engaged, the filtering criteria remain in effect until they are disengaged.  Check the filters if you do not see the display of file names you expect.

A filter is disabled by returning the search criteria to its nominal setting.  This is *.* for the name filter, All Files for the date filter, and none for the size filter.  When all files are being displayed, the File Filter status will report OFF.
