Allow Remote Scheduling of Scripts

Reference:        Configure Services Dialog

This field enables remote Beyond FTP servers with appropriate authorization to use the Queue_Distribution command to schedule distributions at your location.  This capability allows you to build “cascaded” distributions, where certain parts of the distribution are actually performed at remote Beyond FTP sites.  For example, you might distribute software over the Internet, and then instruct each remote site to operate the installer program.

A remote server can gain access to this capability ONLY if this box is checked AND the User ID and Password stored in the remote Address Book allows read access to a local directory where a copy of the script or compiled distribution can be found.  This does not have to be the Beyond FTP directory where the actual scripts are stored.  For more information see Allow Remote Users to Run Scripts.
